The setting was literally picture-perfect as the first blooms of the season shown brighter than the April afternoon.  The LA Arboreum is in Arcadia, California.  Peacocks saunter the grounds tempting visitors to snap their picture rather than the lush plantings.  Tucked in the back of the Arboretum is the rose garden. This garden specializes in "Austin" and Old Garden roses.  Companion plantings of Irises and Forget-Me-Nots are a lovely touch to the gardens.  Benches allow visitors a resting spot to take in this "Secret Garden."
