Orange County Rose Society

Annual Rose Show

Some of the many flowers from the 2017 OCRS Rose Show.

The Orange County Rose Society hosts an annual rose show in either the spring or fall. The 2017 show was held in October in the city of Westminster. This year, the usual weekend for the show, the last weekend in October, is the same weekend of the national ARS convention in San Diego. Because the convention is local, OCRS members who are judges or exhibitors will be attending it in support of the San Diego Rose Society and the ARS. We will be foregoing our own show this year and look forward to seeing you again at the 2019 OCRS rose show!

Rose shows generally include three categories of competition - rose horticulture, rose arrangements and rose photography. Anyone is welcome to exhibit roses at the show; there is no charge to enter and you do not have to be a member. Exhibitors come from throughout California. There are always categories for novices too, so please bring your best roses in and join us! You can view a copy of our 2017 rose show program by clicking here.

(From left:) Exhibitors Kathy Monge and Justin and Lily Ekuan prep their roses for the show outside, while a host of volunteers prepare to place the flowers for judging and get things ready inside.

Princess (third place): $50

Court of Honor (usually several places, 4th-7th in the Court): $25
